Ario 2 Residential Complex is conceived through a reinterpretation of the spatial principles of the traditional Iranian garden, adapted to the framework of a contemporary residential development. Geometric order, a central axis, water, privacy, and spaces of comfort form the primary elements of the site organization and define the overall structure of the complex.

The masterplan is organized around a central axis extending from the main entrance through the landscaped and communal areas toward a central plaza and water feature. Circulation, open spaces, and the positioning of the villas are structured in relation to this axis, creating a legible spatial hierarchy while balancing private residential areas with shared spaces.

In response to variations in plot dimensions and frontage, the villas are developed through four distinct typologies. Each type reinterprets characteristics of the region’s local architectural forms through a process of separation, rotation, and recomposition of simple volumes. This approach allows each plot to respond to its particular conditions while maintaining a coherent architectural language throughout the complex.

The position and characteristics of different areas within the site also inform the distribution and orientation of the villa types—from quieter and greener zones to villas connected more directly to the garden and those benefiting from greater exposure to sunlight and open views. Typological diversity is therefore conceived not as a collection of isolated buildings, but as part of an integrated architectural and landscape system at the scale of the entire development.

Ultimately, the project seeks to establish a dialogue between the principles of the Iranian garden, the local architecture of northern Iran, and contemporary residential life—bringing together geometry, landscape, privacy, and architecture within a unified identity.
